Ronald McDonald House Belgium has been serving families in the Brussels area for many years. Our mission is to ease the hardship of children’s illness on families by focusing on the critical needs of children, celebrating the diversity of the donors who make them possible, staying true to our heritage of responsible stewardship, and operating with accountability and transparency. We have the intention to open another Ronald McDonald House in Luik and other houses in other locations will be part of this impactful journey.
The Position
The Managing Director reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for guiding the Board in the development of the vision and strategic plan for the organization, and for the successful implementation of that plan. Together, the Board and Managing Director ensure the organization’s relevance to the community and the accountability of RMHC to its diverse constituents. The Managing Director leads the organization and increases its visibility, funding, and programs in the Brussels area.
Success in this position will require fitting into the culture of RMHC. This will require a passion for the mission of the organization and for the families it serves. It will require the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with a variety of stakeholders who support and help the organization. It will also require sensitivity to the needs and passions of a diverse staff.

The candidate of choice is a seasoned, well-rounded executive with at least 7-10 years of experience in high-level senior strategic leadership and a demonstrated record of success in leading high-performing organizations. The Managing Director will be charged with building on RMHC’s exceptional brand and record of accomplishment by further developing the organization’s vision, and achieving its goals for continued financial stability, community engagement, and enhancing the impact of its programs.
