About Plan International in the APAC Region
The Asia Pacific (APAC) Region consists of one Hub office, over 2,000 staff, and a budget of approximately 140 million Euros.
The region is currently split into two sub regions, each led by a Director of a Sub Region (DSR), both of whom report directly to the Executive Director – Asia Pacific, and Gender Transformative Policy and Practice. However, there is currently a transformation process underway, which may lead to the change of the makeup of each of the sub regions.
The APAC Hub office, of which the DSR’s are part of, provide overall support to the entire region in a number of functions, which include, among other things – Influencing, Disaster Risk Management, Finance, Security, and Human Resources.
About the Role
The Director of Sub-Region will be accountable towards coherent and consistent implementation of Plan International’s purpose and ambition across the sub-region, in line with Plan’s values-based leadership, underpinned by feminist principles. They will ensure quality, aligned strategies are developed and resourced for all countries in the region and programmes delivered with the expected impact. As a member of the regional hub management team and of the regional leadership team, they will have specific accountabilities to drive elements of the regional hub plan.
