Established in 1977, GOAL is an international humanitarian agency dedicated to alleviating the suffering of the poor and the vulnerable and is currently operating in 13 countries worldwide. GOAL identifies, develops and manages opportunities to work with others and further GOAL’s organisational objective of reducing extreme poverty and strengthening resilience through pro- active engagement with an array of global partners, such as donors (institutional and large foundations), international NGOs and commercial entities. GOAL is recruiting a Director of Business Development to drive GOAL’s Business Development strategy
Overview of the role
Working as a member of the senior management team, the Global Director of Funding and Business Development will lead GOAL’s global business development efforts with a primary focus on the expansion and diversification of GOAL’s Institutional Funding.
The role reports to the CFO, with monthly engagement with the CEO.
Supporting its new organisational strategy (2022 – 2025), GOAL is embarking on an ambitious funding and financing strategy that seeks to develop existing and build more strategic partnerships with bilateral and multilateral donor agencies to increase their income, influence, and programmatic impact. The successful candidate will lead a business development team who will lead the global funding strategy and support the revenue and programmatic growth across all program areas.
